How It All Began
Our Story
Naomi and Sean met performing Sweeney Todd with Leeds Gilbert and Sullivan Society, with Naomi on stage and Sean playing the trumpet. After striking up a rapport at the after-show party, Naomi and Sean bumped into each other again at a Stephen Sondheim concert, and Sean plucked up the courage to strike up a conversation.
They had a successful first date at The Woods in Chapel Allerton and the rest is history!
In their four-and-a-half-year relationship, they have travelled to Ireland, Italy, Wales, South East Asia, France, Portugal, the USA, Germany and Greece. They have performed in Sweeney Todd, Hunchback of Notre Dame, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and Chess together. When they're not performing or travelling together, Naomi and Sean support each other's hobbies, with Naomi attending all of Sean's performances and Sean attending all of Naomi's running events. And they have bought a beautiful home together, down the road from their first date.
After a day of wine tasting in Portugal's Douro Valley, Sean proposed at the top of a gorgeous vista on the 26th July 2025. Naomi said yes before he'd even finished the question. At least that's how he tells it.
